I am continually inspired by architectural elements within my surrounds. It may be a wrought iron detail on a fence, a moulding on a historic building, tiles that have seen a century of wear or within the beauty of a single bloom.

‘Refraction’ is such a quilt. Inspired by the simple beauty of ‘Sunlight through a stained-glass panel’. Playing with low volume and grey scale prints help to give the dimensional effect of the coloured beams of light shining through.

‘Refraction’ is a Modern English Paper Pieced Quilt that finishes at 80” x 78”.

‘Refraction’ is on the cover of/and featured in Issue #92 of Quilters Companion which goes on sale mid July 2018. Pattern is not available in this kit, you will need the magazine. This kit includes ALL papers and templates to complete the quilt. You will not need to re-use your papers.

Refraction is F8 or scrap friendly with the addition of a little yardage. I have used Alison Glass fabrics in the original version. Complete fabric requirements are available in the pattern.
